The 32nd edition of the Prof. Van Lint International Students Soccer Tournament (IT 2012) will be held in Eindhoven from the 25th to the 27th of May 2012. The IT is a soccer tournament organized by students, for students, and every year attracts participants from all over Europe. As every year, a men's tournament with teams of 11 players and a women's tournament with teams of 6 players will take place. Last year, more than 400 students participated to this festival of soccer and parties.

With respect to the 2011 edition, the organization committee of the IT 2012 (Andreas, Gerwin, Daniel, Jolien, Jordi, Linda, Paul, Rik, Rogier) is working hard to bring exciting innovations to the tournament in order to make a memorable weekend out of it for all of you. In particular, among the innovations of this year there will be:

• A pre-IT tournament on Friday afternoon for children from primary school (IT participants are warmly welcome to assist to this tournament)
  
• A free IT 2012 t-shirt for every participant
• New setups for the Friday and Saturday night parties, which will be even more unforgettable
  
• A central gathering point on the pitch including a bar and entertaining activities
• A new tournament program, with matches starting at 10:00

Thanks to these innovations to an already great tournament, we can make one promise to you:

IT's gonna be LEGENDARY!!!

Next to having fun on the soccer field and at the parties, the goal of the IT is to create international relationships that lasts over the years. In fact, as Prof. Van Lint once said about the IT:

The key words are 'fun' and 'friendship'. The second of these is the most important one to me. At previous tournaments, many new friendships were established and these continued to exist long after the persons involved had been graduated.

As a proof of the success of the IT in this respect, we are proud to welcome to the IT 2012 the team of U.S.A. Poznan, composed of "students" that participated to the IT since the '90s.
