General rule

Always listen to the members of the organizing committee or other members of Pusphaira. They work hard to make the tournament a success, they can’t do it without you.

Rules men

  1. All Matches will be played according to the serial matches' regulations of the Royal Dutch Soccer Association.
  2. The match:
    • Protests against decisions of the referees are not allowed and therefore protests or complains will not be accepted.
    • Every team has to provide a linesman during its matches.
    • Every team is allowed to substitute three players during the match. If a player is substituted than he cannot re-enter the field during the same match.
    • Players are not allowed to play in any other team than their own. If a team does not have enough players (for example, because of injuries), the committee may decide, on request, that other players can join.
    • If a player receives a yellow card, he has to leave the field for five minutes. If a player receives a red card, he has to leave the field and is suspended for the next match. In case of serious unsporting behaviour (such as for example hitting, spitting, etc.) the organization committee may decide, after assessment of all the reports, to disqualify a player for the rest of the tournament.
  3. Winners:
    • The final position in the pool will be determined in the following order:
      1. Points; 2. Goal balance; 3. Mutual results; 4. Most goals scored; 5. Penalties
    • In case that the semi- and quarterfinals end in a draw, the winner will be determined by penalty kicks.
    • The final will be extended by 10 minutes if it ends in a draw. If the extra time ends in a draw, the winner will be determined by penalty kicks.
  4. Prizes:
    • The winning team is not allowed to take the winners' cup home. The cup has to stay in Eindhoven and must be given back to the committee just after the distribution of the prizes.
    • Besides the prizes for the winning teams, there is a fairplay cup for the most sportsmanlike team chosen by the referees.
  5. It is not allowed to smoke in the canteen as well as in the changing rooms. It is also strictly forbidden to drink alcohol in the changing rooms.
  6. The organisation committee is not responsible for loss or theft of, or damage to any personal belongings, or for any injuries.
  7. For situations which are not foreseen by these regulations, the organizing committee has the deciding vote.

Rules women

  1. All Matches will be played according to the serial matches’ regulations of the Royal Dutch Soccer Association, adapted to the matches for teams of 6 players. These adaptations are:
    • The playing field is 30 meters wide and 50 meters long with indoor soccer goals.
    • A team consists of five players and a goalkeeper.
    • Each team is allowed to have at most 3 substitutes, which may be substituted unlimitedly.
    • When the ball is out of the field by the sideline, the ball will be brought back in the field by a kick, not a throw-in.
    • The goalkeeper may only throw the ball in her own half of the field.
    • In case of a free-kick the defending team has to take at least 5 meters distance of the ball.
    • The offside rules will be dropped.

Rules of the Students Sports Centre

  • You are only allowed to sleep in the sport halls.
  • Don’t sleep in front of the emergency exits or on the tribunes.
  • You must sleep in rows, leave enough free space to walk.
  • Put your luggage on the side of your head, don’t put it at your feet's side.
  • The fire department prohibits smoking in the sleeping room. Persons caught smoking will be sent away.
  • From 24.00h till 7.00h there must be absolute silence in the sports centre.
  • Don’t litter the sports centre. Use the dustbin.
  • The doormen are in charge, listen to them.
  • If there are any problems or doubts the doormen or members of the IT-commission will take the final decision.
  • It isn’t allowed to wear football shoes inside the sports centre.
  • The organising committee can not be held responsible for theft or damage to any property of players or officials.
  • Any damages done during the tournament will be fixed at the expense of the person responsible.

Rules of the Camping

  • Don’t cook , lunches and dinner are all taken care of.
  • Don’t make a fire, this is dangerous and therefore forbidden
  • Make use of the facilities at the Sports centre if necessary.
  • The doormen of the Sports centre will check on you once in a while
  • The doormen are in charge, listen to them.
  • If there are any problems or doubts the doormen or persons of the IT-commission will take the final decision.
  • Don’t make use of the Dommel (the river), this isn’t drinking water. It is also strictly forbidden to use the Dommel as a toilet; if we catch you doing this you will be suspended for the rest of the tournament.
  • Be careful with the cars parked along the camping field
  • The organising committee can not be held responsible for theft or damage to any property of players or officials.
  • Any damages done during the tournament will be fixed at the expense of the person responsible.
